Long-term update still pleased with my Forte!

Really impressed by the excellent gas mileage. Also the standard safety features on the lxs such as lane assist alarm, frontal camera automatic stop, also also has a very nice backup camera with a 12 inch screen that has Apple an Android carplay. And many other numerous safety features. Actually saw the frontal impact camera do its job when a car pulled out in front of me in the city it automatically stop to avoid impact. The hands off feature while you're driving last about 30 seconds if you need to have it drive for you. Pretty cool when you have those long Highway drives. So far just preventive maintenance everything is doing well. Love the excellent gas mileage saving CVT transmission. Also the Atkins cycle 2.0 engine has been near-perfect. Also haven't noticed the noise like people are complaining about. One of the quietest cars I have seen for a small car. Highly recommend this car for anyone. It's definitely better to buy one of these new then to buy used car. Very easy to get these for around 16 through 18000 dollars. Great bang for the buck. - 4.0
Mostly awesome

The only bad thing about the car has been light bulbs but that may be my fault partly. I have put 40000 miles on the car in one year and when I left the lights in the ON position they would still shutoff with the car but it burned out bulbs quickly -- because I was driving so much. If this happened over the course of a normal year, I doubt I would have been bothered but since the new headlight bulbs are about $30 each I noticed. - 4.0

With the 2.0 liter engine and 6 speed manual I see 33 mpg in mixed driving. The ride is a little firm but not punishing. Once my credit history is longer with the loan I got from Kia motor finance (6.2% simple interest)...I plan on upgrading. This brand has a spotty reputation for long term reliability but the Forte is built by state of the art robotics and the initial quality is satisfactory. All of the tech and safety features are still functioning a year later and no issues in just over 6,000 miles. The engine is a tad anemic but it still does the job! The interior is thoughtfully laid out and quiet. I like this little guy!
