The Kia Telluride is one of the most popular full-size luxury SUVs currently available in America thanks to its luxurious features and affordable price compared to comparable vehicles. The SUV has ranked near the top of midsize SUVs thanks to its pleasant driving dynamics, comfortable and spacious interior, user-friendly features, and a long list of standard equipment. It's just an excellent buy for anyone looking for a connection with their SUV!
While many automakers have started offering mid-engined sports cars with internal combustion engines, we are looking forward to seeing what comes from Kia as the latest information suggests a model is in development.
Although we're still waiting to learn if this car will be offered in showrooms, we already have an idea of ??what it may look like, thanks to overhead spy photographs captured and a video of the vehicle parked under loads of canvas camouflage covering its bodywork.
Exterior
The front of the vehicle has been revamped. It features restyled LED headlamps and a new front grille that still maintains the tiger-nose design signature, silver bars at the top and bottom, and the new Kia logo on the nose. The front bumper is also freshened up, with brackets at both ends of the lower portion to hold fog lights and air intakes.
This is set to be more of an update than a complete redesign. The front of the new Kia Telluride will lose its rounded LED accents and instead have two oblong accents per light cluster.
The 2023 model's redesigned grille with the new Kia logo will not change much. It will maintain its tiger-nose design. It will be a little slimmer, but the lower grill is unlikely to get a radical redesign. We may have to wait for more spy images before making a confident call on this!
The side profile of the 2023 Kia Telluride remains almost entirely unchanged. There are a few changes expected at the rear. For example, the taillight assembly will likely keep the same shape as the current model, but with restyled lighting components. The rear bumper has been redesigned as well, featuring updated parking lights and rear fog lamps. A faux bash plate is present on the rear bumper, which adds a rugged touch to the overall design.
The Interior
The latest model from a Kia is quite a stylish one, and the Telluride will spice up Kia's portfolio for sure! We think it could be a better alternative to some of its main competitors in this class. The Telluride can accommodate up to 7 passengers with ease and even has a third-row option too.
As for more of the interior... well, you'll have to look at photos because words aren't going to do it justice (just kidding). Of course, we're talking about leather seats; pretty much everything upgraded to high-tech level and interactive touch buttons.
However, what we are most interested in is what's under the hood – there is an upgraded engine version that seems promising. Since Kia has recently revealed the 2022 Telluride, it shouldn't be making a whole lot of changes in the 2023 facelift model.
Apart from the minor exterior design modifications and some interior tweaks, the new SUV is expected to remain more or less the same as the 2022 model. The same thing goes for the powertrain. Under the hood of the 2023 Telluride facelift would be the familiar 3.8L V6 that powers the 2022 model. It is capable of producing 295 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque.
This vehicle will run on gas and transmit all of this power to the car's front wheels in normal driving conditions. It will use the four wheels as additional traction for off-roading purposes when the four-wheel drive is activated.
The facelifted Kia Telluride will likely debut around mid to late 2022 or early 2023 and will go on sale in the US slightly after that time, but we do not anticipate any significant mechanical changes being made since this is going to be just a mild refresh and not an all-new vehicle release.
