Subaru Share the Love

On Thursday, April 7th, Island Subaru and Subaru of America, Inc. donated $38,257 in support of Staten Island University Hospital's Children's Cancer Center. Through Subaru of America's "Share the Love" event, for every new car that was purchased between November 19th through January 1st, Subaru of America donated $250. Island Subaru donated an additional $100 per car. The combined donation will support the cancer program and help fund medical research to fight pediatric cancer. Along with SIUH and Subaru of America, Island Auto Group is dedicated to always giving back to the community of Staten Island!

Tottenville High School Solar Car

On Wednesday, April 6th, Island Auto Group presented the Tottenville High School Solar Car Team with a check for $8,500. Island Auto Group is sponsoring the Solar Pirates Solar Car Team, who will be participating in this year's annual Solar Car Challenge. The Solar Car Challenge is a week-long cross-country race from Texas to Minnesota. The team is the only school representing New York State in the national competition. Being apart of the local community is something that Island Auto Group continuously strives to achieve. Island Auto Group is determined to always giving back, especially to the local students of Staten Island!

Staten Island Board Of Realtors Trade Show

On Thursday, March 24th, Island Auto Group sponsored the Annual Staten Island Board of Realtors Agent Day & Trade Show at the Hilton Garden Inn. Real Estate Agents from all across Staten Island, the other boroughs and New Jersey attended the event. The Island Auto Group Street Team provided trade show attendees general information regarding Island Auto Group and tote bags filled with promotional items. The trade show was a great and beneficial opportunity for Island Auto Group to speak directly to the members of the community. Island Auto Group is determined to be involved with the community and be a part of many different types of events! Look out for the Island Auto Group Street Team at future community events!

St. Peter's Boys High School International Night

On Saturday, March 12th, Island Auto Group supported the St. Peter's Boys High School by providing a Fiat for their International Night. Students from the various heritage clubs showcased their culture for the night. Each club showcased their culture sharing their traditions about their heritage. This year the Italian Club showcased a Fiat to represent Italy. The Island Street Team was there greeting guests and showing everyone what Island is all about! It was an exciting night filled with great food and fun! Island Auto Group enjoys being a part of the community and getting involved with local events that bring everyone together!

March of Dimes Kick-Off

On Saturday, March 12th, Island Auto Group supported the St. Peter's Boys High School by providing a Fiat for their International Night. Staten Island St. Patrick's Day Parade

On Sunday, March 6th, Island Auto Group participated in the Richmond County St. Patrick's Day Parade! The Island Auto Group Street Team, along with Island Auto Group employees, family and friends all came out to show their Island Auto Group support and St. Patrick's Day spirit! With the Island Auto Group Street Team Van, a St. Patrick's Day float and a DJ, everyone at the event had a blast! The Island Auto Group Street Team passed out hats and frisbees, which the parade goers were thrilled to receive! We received positive feedback from the parade goers recognizing all that Island has done for the community! Island Auto Group is committed to giving back to the community and supporting local organizations, such as the Richmond County St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee. Richmond University Medical Center Donation

On Tuesday, February 23rd, Island Auto Group and Toyota Motor Sales each donated a check for $10,000 in an effort to help Richmond University Medical Center build their new emergency care unit. The combined donation of $20,000 will help the department's patient care capacity and patient flow, as well as maximize clinic efficiency while enhancing patient comfort. Toyota Motor Sales supports local charities, and matches donations made by local Toyota stores in their communities. Island Auto Group, along with the Richmond University Medical Center and Toyota Motor Sales are all determined to do what they can to improve the greater Staten Island community. Cat Adoption

On Saturday, December 19th, Island Auto Group held a free cat adoption with KittyKind at Island Subaru. KittyKind is a nonprofit and all-volunteer cat adoption group in New York City. Their mission is to reduce the number of abandoned or homeless cats from being mistreated or abused. With the help of KittyKind, Island Auto Group was able to find a happy home for these beautiful cats. Island Auto Group is committed to providing a helping hand to any organization or charity, people or animals alike!

Toys For Tots

During the month of December, Island Auto Group partnered with the NYPD 122nd Precinct and Toys for Tots, to collect toys for children on Staten Island. Both Island Auto Group and the NYPD 122nd Precinct combined their forces to spread the holiday spirit. With a surprise visit by Santa, the children were excited to see him and choose a gift of their choice. Island Auto Group wanted to share some holiday cheer and bring a smile to a child's face. With the NYPD 122nd Precinct and Toys for Tots, Island Auto Group was able to accomplish their goal and bring joy to the children of Staten Island!

Subaru Share the Love Event

Throughout the holiday season until January 2nd, Island Auto Group is participating in Subaru of America's "Share the Love" event, where they donate $250 to a charity for every new vehicle purchased. Along with Subaru's contribution, Island Auto Group is donating an additional $100 to the pediatric cancer center at Staten Island University Hospital. Island Auto Group's goal is to give back as much as they can to the children of Staten Island. Together with Staten Island University Hospital, Island Auto Group wants to make a difference in every child's life!

Salvation Army Food Drive

On Tuesday, November 24th the Island Auto Group "Street Team," along with a few Island Auto employees volunteered at the Salvation Army. The volunteers helped bag and pass out groceries to local families for Thanksgiving. It was a great opportunity for the community to get together and help each other during the holiday season. The Auto Group is determined to always give back to Staten Island. Island Auto Group is committed to their community and will continue to strive to make a difference!

Christmas House Supports Pediatric Cancer

Every year, thousands of Staten Island residents visit the spectacular Christmas display at the DiMartino's home. The DiMartino's transform their house into a winter wonderland for a great cause! Although the display is free to the public, donation are appreciated and support the children's cancer center at Staten Island University Hospital. This year, Island Auto Group supported the cause with a dollar-for-dollar match up to $2,500, and was invited to see the remarkable sight that showcased the holiday spirit!??

FDNY Vehicle Donation

On Tuesday, November 17th at Island Auto Group, a special ceremony, prior to the grand opening, was held to memorialize a van for fallen firefighter, Lt. Gordan "Matt" Ambelas. The van was donated by Island Auto Group to the "Fire Family Transport Foundation," a non-profit organization that provides transportation to firefighters and family members to and from medical institutions. The ceremony included the presentation of colors, singing of the national anthem and bagpipe accompaniment. Island Auto Group is committed to giving back to those that serve our community. We're thankful for their dedication and everything they do to ensure our safety! March Of Dimes

On Sunday, November 15th at the Excelsior Grand in New Drop, Island Auto Group was the sponsor of the March of Dimes' 13th Annual Precious Preemie Fashion Show, to raise awareness about premature birth. The "Island Street Team" and some Island employees greeted guests at the door and handed out goodies. The giveaways included hats & frisbees. Local children, who were born premature, were apart of the fashion show to raise awareness and to support a great cause. Look out for Island's future involvement in local charity and community events.

Annual Coat Drive

During November & December, Island Auto Group is participating in the 27th Annual Coat Drive to "Keep a New Yorker Warm This Winter", hosted by New York Cares. Island Auto Group is supporting this great cause by collecting & donating coats from their employees, customers and the community. Every year, thousands of people struggle during the harsh winter months to keep warm so please visit any of Island's dealerships to make a kind donation. Leading The Charge

On Monday, October 26th at 7:30am, Island Auto Group employees, accompanied by the "Island Street Team", surprised the students at PS 78 Stapleton Community School when they handed out gift bags filled with goodies and greeted the students as they walked into school. The "Island Street Team" is a group of volunteers who partake in community outreach events located all over Staten Island. This early morning treat had all the students running into school with excitement and smiles. The gift bags included notebooks, frisbees & other items to encourage the student's to keep working hard and to have fun while doing it! This inspirational message was exactly what the Island employees wanted to convey. Every child should be excited to learn and attend school each day so Island Auto Group wanted to emphasize the importance of this and acknowledge the great job the students are doing!

S.I. University Hospital Donation

On Friday, October 16th at 1:00pm, Island Auto Group donated a check for $25,000 to help build The Comprehensive Breast Center at Staten Island University Hospital. The Comprehensive Breast Center will be a place where people can hold onto their strength, confidence and identity while undergoing top of the line breast disease treatment. The Comprehensive Breast Center practices a multidisciplinary approach to provide patients the most promising treatment plan.
